NED provides theatre consultation and audio/video system design for projects worldwide since 1990. Services include system design for audio, video, lighting, broadcast, rigging, stage mechanics, and special effects. This position would work on a wide range of projects including theatres, cruise ships; special events production, corporate exhibits, theme parks, and hospitality facilities.
Job Description:
Entry level position for BSEE graduate seeking a career in the entertainment industry. This position will work under project managers and the senior audio designer and will have responsibility for the design and budgeting of integrated entertainment systems.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineering of Audio, Video, and Control Systems for the entertainment industry.
- Prepare specifications, itemized equipment lists and cost estimates.
- Review contractor blueprints, plans, and other documents to confirm adherence to the system design.
- Domestic and international travel for inspection and commissioning of entertainment systems.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and Engineering of Lighting and Special Effects Systems.
- Associate design and drafting of shows and exhibits.
- Possible onsite show production experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
-BSEE preferred, or equivalent degree in similar discipline
-AutoCAD experience.
-Experience in the design, set up, and operation of IP networks and IP devices.
-Experience in the design or operation of entertainment technical systems. (Please only apply for this position if you have experience in this specific field.)
